Coercive Control

Abuse without bruises is still abuse.

Coercive control is a pattern of intimidation, isolation, and micro-regulation that strips away autonomy without ever leaving a mark. If you've been told you're "too sensitive" for noticing — you're not.

Common Tactics

Isolation

Slowly cutting you off from family, friends, faith, work, money — anyone who might mirror reality back.

Monitoring

Tracking your location, phone, spending, and time. Demanding to know where you are and who you're with.

Micro-regulation

Rules about how you dress, eat, sleep, parent, speak — enforced through punishment, silence, or rage.

Gaslighting

Rewriting events so you doubt your memory, perception, and sanity. 'That never happened. You're crazy.'

Financial control

Controlling income, accounts, and credit so leaving feels impossible.

Post-separation abuse

Litigation abuse, custody weaponization, and harassment that continues long after you leave.

Naming it is the beginning.

You are not crazy. You are clear.
